Driver's License
Apply for a Maryland driver's license. You will need proof of identity, residency, and Social Security Number (or ineligibility letter). Real ID compliant.

Get your learner's permit before getting a full license. Must pass a knowledge test at an MVA branch. Minimum age is 15 years and 9 months.

A State ID is for those who do not drive. Accepted as official photo ID for work, banking, and government services. Also available as Real ID.

Register your car or transfer a title in Maryland. Required within 60 days of moving to Maryland or purchasing a vehicle.
