The current Executive Committee's tenure is coming to an end. We are electing a new 15-member Executive Committee to lead FWNS-MD for the next two years.

Voter Eligibility
To vote in the 2026 election you must:
- ✓ Be a dues-paying General or Life Member in good standing
- ✓ Have your membership active by June 13, 2026
- ✓ Be a resident of the State of Maryland
- ✓ Present a valid photo ID on election day
Life Members may vote in any election regardless of renewal date, provided they are in good standing.
Candidacy Eligibility
To file as a candidate you must be a Life Member and:
- ✓ Hold valid Life Membership (Individual or Couple)
- ✓ Be nominated by 2 members (one nominating, one seconding)
- ✓ For at-large Board positions: Life Member status is sufficient
- ✓ For President, VP, Secretaries, Treasurer: Must have held Life Membership for at least 1 year (min. 2 yrs total involvement)
Nomination fees for this election cycle will be announced by the Election Commissioner by June 13, 2026.

Election Commissioner
Bhim BK has officially accepted the role of Election Commissioner for the FWNS-MD 2026 Executive Committee Election. He will lead and coordinate the Election Committee and oversee the entire election process to ensure a fair and transparent election.

The following positions will be elected. Up to 3 at-large Members may be appointed by the incoming EC and ratified by the General Assembly.
⚠️ At least 33% of elected positions must be held by women, as required by the FWNS-MD Bylaws.
