The Far-Western Nepalese Society of Maryland, Inc. (FWNS-MD) traces its origins to 2016, beginning as the FarWest Nepalese Welfare Trust in Baltimore and evolving into FWNS-MD in 2019. Officially recognized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in July 2022, our journey is a testament to the growth, resilience, and dedication of our community.
At FWNS-MD, our commitment is to unite the Far-Western Nepalese diaspora across Maryland, enriching lives through a blend of cultural, educational, health, and sports initiatives. Our mission is to foster a spirit of community, provide support, and facilitate the personal development of our members, empowering our vibrant diaspora to thrive.
